Bently Heritage Distillery

In the high desert of northwestern Nevada, Bently Heritage will be a sustainable estate distillery that produces world-class spirits from grain and botanicals grown at the neighboring Bently Ranch. Working with Eight Inc., MBLA developed an elegant site plan that consolidates the most active pedestrian spaces along the mill building, while accommodating the considerable circulation and parking needs of visitor and distillery traffic throughout the site. A generous open plaza, a garden featuring botanicals used in the spirits, an open event lawn, and a restored historic train car comprise the active pedestrian axis north of the mill building. Along the north and west borders of the property, a wide swath of native meadow brings the species and spirit of the adjacent wilder conservation lands all the way to the property’s main entry point.
